Reporting To - Operation Head

Role Objective

To manage and deliver new product development projects for earthmoving equipment from concept to production, ensuring performance, cost, quality, and compliance targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

Lead NPD projects from concept, design, development, testing to production launch.

Convert market and customer requirements into engineering specifications.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, SCM, Sales, Service).

Manage project timelines, cost targets, risks, and deliverables.

Ensure compliance with applicable standards, safety, and emission norms.

Support pilot builds, validation, field trials, and production ramp-up.

Drive DFM/DFA, VA/VE, and localization initiatives.

Participate in benchmarking and continuous product improvement.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of hydraulics, structures, powertrain, and fabrication.

Experience with CAD tools (Creo / CATIA / SolidWorks).

Understanding of NPD / APQP / Stage-Gate processes.

Project management, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Ability to work hands-on and manage multiple projects.

Education & Experience

BE / BTech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering.

8–12 years of experience in NPD within earthmoving, construction equipment, or heavy engineering.
