Project Engineer

1. Operation & Monitoring

Supervision of 22 Ranney Wells, 160 Tube Wells, 8 Master Balancing Reservoirs (MBS), 5 Intermediate Balancing Reservoirs (IBS), 3 Online Booster Stations, and 2 Tube Well Boosters.

Ensure round-the-clock pumping operations as per demand from FMDA.

Monitoring and recording daily water levels, pumping hours, discharge, and energy consumption.

2. Pumping Machinery & Electrical Maintenance

Routine inspection and preventive maintenance of HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, feeders, and pumping machinery.

Immediate response to electrical faults (tripping, short-circuit, overload, etc.).

Coordination for repair/overhauling of pumps, motors, impellers, bearings, and other mechanical parts.

3. Pipeline & Civil Infrastructure

Maintenance of approximately 350 km pipeline network (150mm–1000mm dia.) from Ranney Wells and Tube Wells to MBS → IBS → SBS.

Attend to leakages, valve operations, air valve repair, sluice valve maintenance, and appurtenances.

Oversee civil repair works of pump houses, reservoirs, boundary walls, approach roads, and truss bridges.

4. Horticulture & Housekeeping

Ensure upkeep and cleanliness of all sites.

Supervision of landscaping, horticulture works, and greenery around pumping/reservoir stations.

Waste and sludge disposal from pump houses and reservoirs.

5. Manpower & Safety Supervision

Lead and guide the team of operators, fitters, electricians, and helpers.

Ensure proper shift rotations for 24×7 operation.

Monitor implementation of safety practices (HT/LT operations, pump handling, confined space entry, etc.).

6. Emergency & Breakdown Handling

Quick response to any emergency such as pipeline bursts, pump failures, or power breakdowns.

Coordination with electricity authorities during feeder faults or DG operations.

Arrange spares and ensure minimal downtime.

7. Reporting & Compliance

Maintain logbooks for pumping data, power consumption, breakdown records, and repair history.

Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to Project Incharge.

Ensure full compliance with FMDA’s technical specifications and instructions.

Note: Candidate should have work experience in the field of Pipeline Laying Minimum Diameter 600mm.
