Job Summary

The IT Sales Director is responsible for leading the sales organization, driving revenue growth, and developing strategic sales plans within the technology/IT sector. This role oversees sales teams, manages key client relationships, and ensures the successful execution of sales strategies to achieve business objectives.


Key Responsibilities


Sales Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s IT sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage sales teams, including Account Executives, Business Development Managers, and Sales Representatives.
  • Set KPI targets, monitor team performance, and implement improvement plans where needed.
  • Identify new market opportunities, emerging technologies, and potential partnerships.

Business Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, enterprise accounts, and strategic partners.
  • Oversee the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Establish long-term relationships to encourage client retention and upsell opportunities.
  • Negotiate and finalize high-value contracts and agreements.
  • Operations & ReportingPrepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and monthly/quarterly performance reports.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Technical teams to align on go-to-market strategies.
  • Ensure the sales team adheres to CRM best practices and maintains clean sales pipelines.

Team Development

  • Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing sales talent.
  • Provide coaching, sales training, and ongoing professional development to the team.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on achieving targets and delivering customer value.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of IT products, solutions, and industry trends (e.g., cloud, SaaS, cybersecurity, networking).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
