Assistant Manager - Sales & Marketing
Responsibilities
- Business Development:-
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities for CFS services.
o Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and market research.
o Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients. - Customer Relationship Management:
o Build and nurture long-term relationships with customers.
o Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and service requirements.
o Provide timely updates and resolve customer issues effectively. - Sales & Negotiation:
o Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and service agreements.
o Negotiate rates and terms to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs.
o Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by management. - Market Intelligence:
o Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and freight rates.
o Provide feedback to management for strategic decision-making. - Coordination:
o Work closely with operations, documentation, and billing teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
o Liaise with shipping lines, transporters, and other stakeholders for service delivery
Performance Metrics
• Revenue growth and achievement of sales targets.
• Customer acquisition and retention.
• Market share expansion in assigned territory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
- Experience: 5-7 years in sales within CFS, logistics, or freight forwarding industry.
- Familiarity with EDI systems and shipping line coordination is an advantage.
