Job Description
Senior Video & Photo Editor (Multimedia Production Specialist)
Job Summary:
The Video & Photo Editor is a key creative and technical professional responsible for end-to-end production, editing, enhancement, and delivery of high-quality video and photographic content across all formats and platforms. This role requires strong creative vision, advanced technical skills, multitasking ability, and operational discipline to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining superior quality standards.
The editor will work across diverse genres including broadcast, government projects, corporate films, documentaries, social media, events, news, promotional campaigns, advertisements, interviews, reels, short-form content, long-form content, and live-event post production.
Key Responsibilities:Video Editing & Post-Production:
• Perform complete end-to-end video editing from raw footage to final delivery
• Select, trim, sequence, and structure footage for storytelling and impact
• Add professional transitions, motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, subtitles, and visual effects
• Sync and balance audio, perform noise reduction, and enhance sound quality
• Execute advanced color correction and cinematic color grading
• Integrate music, voiceovers, ambient sound, and sound effects
• Create multiple versions of edits for different platforms and audiences
• Ensure broadcast-quality output standards where applicable
Photo Editing & Image Enhancement:
• Professionally retouch and enhance photographs for print, digital, and broadcast
• Adjust color balance, exposure, contrast, sharpness, and skin tones
• Perform advanced retouching including background cleanup, object removal, and compositing
• Maintain natural look while delivering high-end commercial quality
• Prepare images in multiple resolutions and formats for different usage requirements
Multiplatform & Multi-Genre Deliverables:
• Format and optimize content for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, websites, OTT, TV broadcast, LED screens, and digital advertising
• Create vertical, horizontal, square, and custom aspect ratio versions
• Edit content for reels, shorts, promos, trailers, teasers, long-form programs, and documentaries
• Handle event coverage edits, government documentation videos, and corporate compliance content
Creative & Content Collaboration:
• Work closely with directors, cameramen, marketing teams, and clients
• Interpret scripts, briefs, and creative instructions accurately
• Suggest creative improvements, storytelling enhancements, and visual upgrades
• Maintain consistency with brand identity, tone, and communication standards
File Management & Workflow:
• Organize, label, archive, and manage large volumes of video and photo assets
• Maintain proper project folder structures and backup practices
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously with strict timelines
• Ensure version control and approval tracking
Quality Control & Compliance:
• Conduct final technical and creative quality checks before delivery
• Ensure all content meets platform, client, and broadcast specifications
• Follow internal SOPs, branding, confidentiality, and data protection guidelines
• Ensure accuracy for government, legal, and official documentation videos
Qualifications & Required Skills:
• 12th pass / Graduate (Media, Film, Design, Mass Communication preferred)
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
– Adobe Premiere Pro
– After Effects
– Photoshop
– Lightroom
– DaVinci Resolve
– Final Cut Pro
– Canva (for quick creatives & templates)
• Understanding of codecs, formats, frame rates, resolutions, and export standards
• Strong knowledge of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling
• Ability to multitask across video, photo, and graphic requirements
• High attention to detail with strong creative judgment
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Excellent time management and deadline-driven work discipline
Work Conditions & Expectations:
• Ability to work under tight and changing deadlines
• Long screen-time and intensive editing sessions may be required
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak projects, events, and government assignments
• Ability to handle pressure and last-minute changes professionally
