The Regional Protective Services team is a core part of GP&S with members based out of various regions of the world.

Job Summary: 

The Global Protection and Security (GP&S) Specialist will be a part of the Regional Protective Services (RPS) India team and responsible for providing physical security advice and assistance to designated Accenture locations within the geographic Area of responsibility.  Areas of physical security will broadly include life safety of the people, asset protection, goodwill protection and physical security procurement.  The incumbent will be responsible for conducting physical security reviews of Accenture offices, new acquisition spaces and project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with other stakeholders like HR, Workplace, Employee Relations, Business Resiliency Services to ensure holistic safety, security of our people, assets and goodwill.
  • Should be able to contribute in framing of policies and governance matrices related to safety, security aspects.
  • Physical review and periodic checks of all security expedients in the offices in coordination with the Workplace team.
  • Respond to calls of assistance from employees, vendors, clients and other interested parties routed through the Security Operations Centre.
  • Continuously assess and monitor geopolitical developments, weather and other risks which can impact on our business.
  • Update and manage crisis situations in coordination with other stakeholders to ensure minimal impact and business continuity.
  • Be proficient in handling security related audits of clients and audit partners.
  • Conduct physical security audits of all workspaces under our scope and new acquisitions.
  • Identify and manage complex or disputed issues which have major day-to-day impact on area of responsibility and resolve with minimal guidance from Protective Services leadership. 
  • Conduct simulated exercises to rehearse crisis management plans.
  • Would be considered a subject matter expert (SME) in Safety and Security and often called upon by others throughout the company to provide guidance. 
  • Plan and prioritize complex activities as the SME for Workplace workgroups that deal with Safety and Security initiatives. This includes recommendations on process improvements and the oversight of development of new procedures.
  • Contribute to the building and integration of knowledge capital related to Safety and Security throughout the geography. 
  • Identify new opportunities and needs within area of responsibility and independently develop solutions to address gaps. 
  • Deal with difficult and sensitive situations appropriately by using judgment to make a variety of decisions, most complex in nature.  Decisions occasionally impact other teams.
  • Apply functional knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, and operational frameworks to anticipate and address business issues.
  • Provide advice and guidance regarding Protective Services in geographical area of responsibility.  This may include advising project sites with specific client/regulatory service level agreements or contractual obligations related to Safety and Security. 
  • Manage contract relationships with external service providers (manage contracts, review performance against strategy and budget) within area of responsibility and resolve contract issues and disputes. 
  • Provide input to operating and capital budgeting and reporting for geographic operating budget.  Adhere to capital and operating budgets.
  • Review and approval of payment requests and vendor invoices as necessary.
  • Actively participates in sharing best practices across areas or functions.
  • Operate with a large degree of autonomy and independence while overseeing operations of moderate scope, and moderate ambiguity, risk, unpredictability and diversity.
