Job Title: Accountant cum Office Assistant

Location: Ghaziabad, Uttar PradeshCompany Profile

We are a growing company engaged in government infrastructure projects, handling contracts related to public works and development projects. We are looking for a dedicated Accountant cum Office Assistant to support our accounting functions and office administration.

Job Summary : The Accountant cum Office Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accounts, ensuring statutory compliance, and managing routine office and project-related documentation. The ideal candidate should have experience in Indian accounting practices and familiarity with documentation related to government projects.

  • Key Responsibilities Accounting Responsibilities:Maintain day-to-day accounting records including cash book, bank book, ledger, and vouchers
  • Record project-wise expenses, bills, and payments
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS)
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and MIS reports
  • Handle GST compliance including preparation and filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.
  • Manage TDS deductions and filing of TDS returns
  • Assist in income tax matters and statutory audits
  • Coordinate with Chartered Accountant, auditors, and tax consultants
  • Office & Project Administration Responsibilities:Maintain project-related files and documentation for government contracts
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of tender documents, bills, and invoices
  • Handle correspondence with government departments and vendors
  • Maintain records of work orders, agreements, and completion certificates
  • Manage office administration, filing, and record keeping
  • Assist with payroll, attendance, PF, and ESI records
  • Handle office purchases and vendor coordination
  • Support management with administrative and compliance-related tasks
  • Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and Indian taxation
  • Proficiency in Tally and MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and payroll
  • Experience in infrastructure / construction / government project accounting preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (experience with government projects preferred)
