The Accounts Head is responsible for overseeing the entire accounting department, ensuring that all financial records, reports, and processes are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant regulations. This role involves managing a team of accountants and finance professionals, coordinating financial activities, and implementing effective accounting practices and systems. The Accounts Head plays a critical role in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial reporting, contributing to the overall financial health and efficiency of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Team Management:**

  - Lead and manage the accounting team, including hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff.

  - Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow and coverage.

  - Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

2. **Financial Reporting:**

  - Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  - Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

  - Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

3. **Budgeting and Forecasting:**

  - Coordinate the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasts.

  - Provide financial analysis and support for budgetary planning and decision-making.

  - Monitor actual financial performance against budget and forecasts, and provide insights to management.

4. **Internal Controls and Compliance:**

  - Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.

  - Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, and other financial reporting obligations.

  - Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.
