Job Description

Job Profile / Role Summary:The GeM Executive will be responsible for end-to-end management of GeM (Government e-Marketplace) portal activities, including product listing, bid participation, order processing, compliance, and coordination with internal teams and government buyers. The role requires strong understanding of government procurement procedures and portal operations.


Key Responsibilities:

🔹 GeM Portal ManagementCreation and management of seller account on GeM portal

  • Product / service listing, catalog management, pricing updates
  • Compliance with GeM policies, SOPs, and government procurement rules

🔹 Bid & Order HandlingSearching and analysing BOQs, bids, and tenders on GeM

  • Participation in Bids / BOQ / Direct Purchase / L1 Purchase
  • Submission of documents, technical specifications, and price quotes
  • Order acceptance, amendment handling, and timely execution

🔹 Coordination & DocumentationCoordination with production, store, dispatch, accounts, and logistics teams

  • Preparation and submission of invoices, delivery challans, warranties, and compliance documents
  • Follow-up for inspection, delivery confirmation, and payment release

🔹 Client & Compliance ManagementCommunication with Government buyers, departments, and GeM helpdesk

  • Handling clarifications, objections, returns, and penalties if any
  • Ensuring adherence to MSME, Make in India, QCI, OEM norms

  • Qualification & Experience:Graduate / Diploma (Commerce, Engineering, Management preferred)
  • 1–3 years experience in GeM portal handling (mandatory / preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of government procurement & tender process
  • Skills Required:Hands-on experience with GeM portal operations
  • Good understanding of BOQ, L1 system, reverse auction
  • Strong documentation and coordination skills
  • Basic knowledge of GST, invoicing, and compliance
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, email communication
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Working Hours:As per office / factory schedule
  • Flexibility during bid deadlines and urgent submissions
