Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Lead Structural Engineer to head our structural design division. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven expertise in handling complex projects from conceptual design through final delivery, while effectively leading and mentoring a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the structural design process for multiple projects — from preliminary concepts to detailed design documentation.

• Perform analysis and design using ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD.

• Deliver structural designs for a wide range of building types, including residential, commercial, institutional, healthcare (hospitals), hospitality (hotels), and mixed-use developments.

• Handle design of low-rise to high-rise RCC buildings as well as steel structures (industrial or commercial).

• Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and reports prepared by junior and intermediate engineers.

• Develop and enhance in-house design tools, including custom software, spreadsheets, and macros for structural analysis and design.

• Attend client and coordination meetings; communicate technical concepts clearly and professionally.

• Interface with sites by reviewing RFIs, shop drawings, and issuing structural site instructions (SSI) as required.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian and international codes and standards (IS, NBC, ACI, BS, etc.).

• Coordinate closely with architectural, MEP, and interior teams for integrated multidisciplinary project delivery.

• Participate in value engineering and provide technically sound, cost-effective solutions.

• Prepare and review design reports, estimation sheets, BOQs, tender documents, and official correspondence.

• Conduct internal technical training sessions and contribute to continual improvement of design quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil/Structural Engineering (M.E./M.Tech preferred).

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in structural design and consultancy.

• Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD is mandatory.

• Strong command of RCC and steel structure design, including foundations, seismic design, and tall building systems.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Indian design codes (IS 456, IS 1893, IS 13920, IS 800, etc.).

• Experience in preparing estimates, BOQs, DPRs, and tender documents.

• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

• Experience with site coordination, responding to RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings.

• Knowledge of automation tools, VBA, or Python scripting for design optimization will be an added advantage.
