Job Description
- Design & ModellingCreate 3D CAD models and assemblies for mechanical parts and systems
- Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T, tolerances, and material specifications
- Modify and update existing designs based on engineering feedback
- Product Development SupportWork closely with mechanical, electronics, and production teams
- Support prototype development, testing, and design iterations
- Ensure designs meet strength, weight, cost, and manufacturability requirements
- Manufacturing & DocumentationGenerate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and part lists
- Coordinate with CNC, fabrication, composites, and assembly teams
- Maintain proper design version control and documentation
- Quality & StandardsEnsure designs comply with ISO/ASME standards
- Perform basic fit, interference, and tolerance analysis
- Assist in design reviews and technical discussions
- Required Skills & ToolsProficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks / CATIA / Fusion 360 / Creo / Inventor)
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Basic understanding of GD&T
