Profile: Draftsman

Educational Qualification: ITI draftsman, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Year of Experience Required: 3 to 6 Years

Field of Experience: Boiler Manufacturing

JOB PROFILE:

• Proficiency in CAD software for drafting and detailing boiler components and assemblies.

• Capable of interpreting and creating drawings according to design specifications and standards.

• Collaborate with design engineers to develop detailed drawings for boiler components including pressure parts, non-pressure parts, ducting, structures, etc.

• Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials (BOM) for manufacturing.

• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements in all drafted documents.

• Coordinate with engineering and fabrication teams to address any design or manufacturing issues.

• Assist in creating and maintaining drafting standards and templates to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Capable of making revisions and updates to drawings as required during the design and manufacturing process.

• Knowledge of 3D modeling tools is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with boiler design standards and codes is an advantage.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with attention to detail and accuracy.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidEdge, etc.).

• Understanding of drafting principles and techniques.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams.

• Problem-solving abilities to address design and manufacturing challenges.
