Milling Machine Operator

Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Milling Machine Operator to operate and maintain milling machines for precision machining of components used in SPM (Special Purpose Machines). The candidate must have experience in handling conventional / VMC milling machines and ensuring high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate milling machines (Conventional) for machining operations
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process sheets
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and parameters for each job
• Perform operations like face milling, slotting, drilling, boring, and finishing
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain accuracy
• Ensure components meet dimensional tolerance and surface finish requirements
• Conduct in-process inspection using measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, height gauge, etc.)
• Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic preventive maintenance
• Follow all safety standards and company procedures
• Maintain production records and report issues to supervisor

Required SkillsStrong knowledge of milling operations & machining processes

• Ability to read technical drawings and tolerances
• Hands-on experience with cutting tools & fixtures
• Knowledge of measuring instruments
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

QualificationsITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

• 2–5 years experience in milling machine operation
• Experience in SPM / machine manufacturing industry preferred
