Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will oversee and streamline day-to-day construction operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role involves coordinating between project teams, vendors, site engineers, and management to ensure smooth execution of construction activities.

Key Responsibilities -

Operational Oversight

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor construction operations across multiple projects.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and contractual commitments.
• Optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and cost control.

Project Coordination

• Liaise with project managers, site engineers, architects, and consultants.
• Track project progress and resolve operational issues or delays.
• Ensure timely availability of materials, manpower, machinery, and resources.

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Monitor project expenses and operational budgets.
• Control costs through efficient procurement and vendor negotiations.
• Review BOQs, purchase orders, and operational expenditures.

Vendor & Procurement Management

• Identify, evaluate, and manage contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials as per project requirements.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and performance standards.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety norms, and quality standards.
• Implement and monitor site safety policies and SOPs.
• Coordinate audits, inspections, and regulatory documentation.

Team Management

• Supervise and guide project teams, site staff, and operational personnel.
• Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
• Support recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of site staff.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare regular operational reports for management review.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, MIS, and records.
• Provide updates on risks, progress, and improvement plans.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction operations and project execution.
• Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Sound understanding of construction safety and compliance standards.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, project management tools, and ERP systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management (preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in construction operations or project management.
• Prior experience handling residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• Exposure to budgeting, procurement, and site coordination.
