Job Description
- Key Responsibilities1. Assembly Line OperationsSupervise end-to-end assembly line activities as per daily/weekly production plans
- Allocate manpower, tools, fixtures, and workstations effectively
- Ensure line balancing to meet takt time and production targets
- Monitor cycle time, throughput, and bottlenecks
- 2. Quality & ComplianceEnsure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and quality checklists
- Coordinate with Quality team for in-process and final inspections
- Identify defects, root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure traceability and documentation for assemblies
- 3. Manpower & DisciplineLead and motivate technicians, fitters, and assembly operators
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and shift briefings
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and shop-floor discipline
- Train operators on assembly processes and safety practices
- 4. Safety & 5SEnforce safety protocols, PPE usage, and EHS norms
- Maintain 5S standards across the assembly area
- Report near-misses, incidents, and corrective actions
- 5. Production ReportingUpdate daily production reports (plan vs actual)
- Track rework, rejection, downtime, and manpower efficiency
- Escalate delays, shortages, or risks proactively
- 6. Cross-Functional CoordinationCoordinate with Stores for material availability
- Work with Planning, Quality, and Maintenance teams
- Support engineering changes and new product introductions (NPI
