Salary Range: ₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on qualification and experience)

Reporting To: Managing Director / Factory Head

Role OverviewThe Quality Head will be responsible for supervising and controlling all quality-related activities in the manufacturing unit. The position ensures that products and fabrication processes strictly meet company and client specifications, ISO 9001:2015 standards, and other applicable regulations.

• Key Responsibilities1. Supervision of Quality OperationsOversee daily quality inspection activities across all fabrication and assembly stages.
• Ensure fit-up, welding, leak testing, and surface painting inspections are performed as per QAP and drawings.
• Supervise quality inspectors and allocate responsibilities for stage-wise inspection.
• Review and approve inspection reports before final submission.
• Ensure that all products dispatched meet the required customer and ISO standards.
• 2. Documentation & ComplianceMaintain and update all quality records: QAP, WPS/PQR/WPD, Process Flow Chart, NCR Register, Calibration Records, Rework Register, etc.
• Coordinate during internal and external audits, and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
• Prepare and maintain inspection checklists and formats for each stage of production.
• 3. Product & Process QualityVerify that all raw materials and bought-out items meet specified standards (MTC, dimensions, finish).
• Monitor process control parameters like welding quality, painting thickness (DFT), surface finish, and leak tests.
• Approve or reject fabricated items based on inspection results.
• Ensure traceability and tagging of all inspected materials and assemblies.
• 4. Team & TrainingGuide, train, and monitor the work of QC inspectors, weld inspectors, and fit-up supervisors.
• Conduct internal training sessions on quality procedures, standards, and good practices.
• Build and maintain a motivated, disciplined, and efficient quality team.
• 5. CoordinationCoordinate with production, design, and dispatch departments to ensure quality is maintained at every stage.
• Liaise with customers and third-party inspection agencies during in-process and final inspections (PDI).
• Ensure prompt action and documentation for any customer complaints or NCRs.
• 6. ReportingPrepare and submit daily / weekly / monthly quality performance reports to management.
• Analyze quality issues, suggest preventive and corrective actions, and implement improvements.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation:

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.

Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a fabrication or transformer tank manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of welding inspection, dimensional inspection, painting systems, and QMS documentation.

Key Skills:

• Sound understanding of fabrication drawings and measurement instruments.
• Strong supervisory and team-handling ability.
• Familiarity with ISO, IS, and IEC standards related to fabrication.
• Computer skills (MS Office, Excel reporting).
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Employment TypeFull-Time, On-Site (Factory Premises)

Working Hour- 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
