Job Description
- Key Responsibilities1. Manpower ManagementEnsure adequate manpower availability across shifts and production lines
- Coordinate hiring of technicians, helpers, operators, apprentices, contract labour
- Manage onboarding, ID cards, uniforms, safety gear issuance
- Coordinate with supervisors for daily manpower deployment
- 2. Attendance, Shifts & DisciplineMaintain attendance records, shift rosters, OT tracking
- Control late coming, absenteeism, early leaving
- Enforce factory discipline and shopfloor conduct
- Issue warning letters, show-cause notices as per policy
- Maintain a strict but fair discipline culture
- 3. Payroll & Statutory ComplianceCoordinate monthly salary processing with Accounts
- Manage ESI, PF, PT, labour compliance documentation
- Handle contract labour compliance (if applicable)
- Maintain employee files, registers, and inspection readiness
- 4. Industrial Relations & GrievancesAct as first point of contact for worker grievances
- Resolve issues related to salary, shifts, leave, behaviour
- Prevent conflicts, unions issues, or unrest
- Escalate sensitive matters proactively to management
- 5. Safety & Policy EnforcementEnsure adherence to factory safety rules and PPE usage
- Coordinate safety inductions and training with Factory Manager
- Monitor compliance with EHS and defence-sensitive protocols
- Support incident reporting and corrective actions
- 6. Coordination & ReportingDaily coordination with Factory Manager and Supervisors
- Maintain daily manpower & attendance reports
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
- Implement HR policies as per company direction
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Attendance discipline & absenteeism rate
- Manpower availability vs requirement
- Statutory compliance (zero notices / penalties)
- Grievance resolution turnaround time
- Attrition and workforce stability
- Payroll accuracy
