Accountant

Key Responsibilities:1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain and update day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally/ERP system.
• Prepare journal entries, ledger reconciliations, and trial balances.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable and vendor reconciliations.
• Ensure month-end and year-end financial closing as per accounting norms.

2. Taxation (Direct & Indirect)

• Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
• Handle TDS deduction, payment, and filing of quarterly TDS returns.
• Assist in computation and filing of corporate income tax returns.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants during statutory audits and assessments.

3. Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Income Tax Act, GST Act, Companies Act, and other financial regulations.
• Maintain all statutory registers and documentation for audit readiness.
• Manage ROC filings in coordination with the company secretary (if applicable).

4. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare MIS reports, balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow statements.
• Support management with data for budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
• Conduct variance analysis and report key financial indicators to management.

5. Internal Control & Process Improvement

• Identify process gaps and suggest improvements for better financial control.
• Ensure strong internal checks for invoices, expenses, and vendor payments.
• Key Skills Required:Strong knowledge of Tally Prime / ERP software
• In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Accounting Standards
• Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with high accuracy
• Qualification:B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter preferred
