Position Overview:

The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, establishing strong client relationships, and promoting Aarush's modular kitchen and furniture solutions. The role involves generating leads, building pipelines, and driving revenue growth through both retail (PDS) and project (PrDS) verticals.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation, Market Targeting & Prospecting:

  • Identify potential clients through market research, referrals, site visits, and networking.
  • Engage with walk-in clients, builders, architects, and interior designers to introduce Aarush’s offerings.
  • Qualify leads and maintain a robust sales pipeline across both PDS and PrDS segments.

Client Engagement & Conversation:

  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their lifestyle needs, desires, problems design preferences, challenges, and functional requirements for their space.
  • Collaborate with in-house design teams to co-create personalized modular solutions including kitchens, wardrobes, and living furniture.
  • Guide clients through the design process, offering informed suggestions on layouts, finishes, materials, and hardware options aligned with budget and aesthetics.
  • Provide professional recommendations that balance creativity, functionality, and feasibility.
  • Follow up on inquiries, share detailed proposals, negotiate terms, and work towards converting leads into confirmed orders.

Sales & Deal Closure:

  • Prepare and deliver engaging client presentations, including 2D layouts, 3D visualizations, and mood boards created in collaboration with the design team.
  • Present tailored proposals that address the client’s needs, lifestyle challenges, and space constraints while emphasizing design quality, durability, and premium finishes.
  • Maintain Aarush’s luxury brand positioning throughout the sales process, while tactfully upselling value-added features such as smart storage, premium hardware, and custom finishes.
  • Confidently close deals, ensuring client satisfaction, clarity in deliverables, and timely coordination for next steps in the project lifecycle.

Market & Competitor Intelligence:

  • Monitor trends in modular interiors, builder developments, and competitor offerings in the Goa region.
  • Suggest strategies to improve lead quality and client targeting.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team for campaigns and promotions.

Coordination & Documentation:

  • Collaborate with the design teams to prepare and deliver accurate proposals and BOQs.
  • Maintain client data, sales funnel, and communication history using (CRM tools) or trackers.
  • Assist in documentation for agreements, advance payments, and approvals.

Site Visits & Client Relationship Building:

  • Conduct site visits to understand project scope, assess space feasibility, and build rapport with clients at their location.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, developers, structural engineers, and high-end contractors for repeat business and referrals.
  • Act as a key point of contact during site execution phases, ensuring alignment between design, client expectations, and on-site realities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date (CRM) records of client meetings, follow-ups, requirements, and communication history.
  • Coordinate with the installation and client service teams to ensure smooth post-sale execution and after-sales support, enhancing overall client satisfaction and brand loyalty.

Reporting & Strategy Development:

  • Provide regular reports to senior management on lead status, sales performance, conversion rates, and client feedback.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute targeted campaigns, including social media promotions (Instagram, Facebook), design showcases, influencer partnerships, and virtual tours.
  • Monitor market trends and client behavior to suggest innovations, product improvements, or tactical changes in offerings, pricing, or presentation.
  • Share on-ground insights to help shape seasonal campaigns, new product launches, and experience centre upgrades.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all products, services, materials, finishes, and technical specifications offered by Aarush.
  • Develop a strong B2B network within the construction and design ecosystem, including contractors, project managers, and vendors.
  • Proactively suggest upgrades or complementary products/services to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales value.
  • Negotiate with clients to secure mutually beneficial pricing, maintaining profitability and brand standards.
  • Assist in training or guiding internal sales/design staff on client communication, product awareness, and selling techniques.
  • Review client feedback regularly and recommend service or design process improvements where needed.
  • Stay updated on consumer trends, lifestyle shifts, and industry innovations to ensure our offerings stay relevant and competitive.

Education Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree

Communication & Presentation:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients, team members, and senior leadership.
  • Ability to deliver persuasive presentations and articulate design solutions and value propositions clearly.

Sales & Negotiation:

  • Proven ability in lead generation, prospecting, and converting inquiries into confirmed orders.
  • Skilled in negotiating terms and pricing while maintaining brand value and client satisfaction.
  • Capable of building and nurturing long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.

Strategic Thinking & Business Planning:

  • Ability to assess growth opportunities, monitor market trends, and contribute to business strategy.
  • Understands how to align business development efforts with organizational goals and sales targets.

Networking & Relationship Building:

  • Strong networking skills to create and maintain professional relationships with builders, architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders.
  • Active participation in industry events, site visits, and online platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) to expand visibility and influence.

Market Research & Insight:

  • Ability to conduct competitive analysis, understand customer behaviour, and identify unmet needs in the market.
  • Comfortable with basic data analysis to draw insights and refine sales strategies.

Project & Time Management:

  • Skilled in handling multiple clients and projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Well-organized with a methodical approach to scheduling, reporting, and follow-ups.

Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:

  • Proactive in identifying challenges and finding creative, practical solutions during the sales or execution process.
  • Capable of making timely and effective decisions to move deals forward.

Financial & Commercial Acumen:

  • Understanding of pricing structures, costing, and basic financial principles related to modular furniture projects.
  • Ability to ensure business development efforts are commercially viable and aligned with profitability goals.

Experience:

  • Minimum 02 years of experience in sales, marketing, or customer service.
