Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in the Oil & Gas industry. The candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

• Key Responsibilities:Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in oil & gas facilities.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, MCC panels, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and schematics.
• Perform cable laying, glanding, termination, and testing of LV/MV systems.
• Maintain and inspect lighting systems, earthing systems, and hazardous area installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (ATEX, IECEx, NEC, etc.) and company HSE policies.
• Support commissioning and start-up activities.
• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors for shutdowns and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Required Qualifications:Diploma / ITI in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery industries.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
• Experience working in hazardous areas.
• Familiarity with PLC systems is an advantage.
• Ability to work in offshore/onshore environments.
• Required Skills:Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in challenging environments.
• Certifications (Preferred):Electrical License (as per local regulations)
• H2S Certification
• Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET) – for offshore roles
• First Aid Certification
