Job Description
- Collect weekly loan installments from group borrowers in the assigned area (villages/semi-urban).
- Visit centers/groups as per fixed route plan and meeting schedule and ensure 100% attendance and collection as per demand sheet.
- Deposit the collected amount the same day at branch and ensure no cash is held after office hours; complete MERC/MIS/mobile app entry accurately.
- Follow up regularly on overdue and default cases, understand reasons for non-payment, and negotiate feasible repayment plans within company policy.
- Trace absconding or non-contactable customers using local contacts and data and escalate chronic default accounts to seniors for further action.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of all collections, overdues, field visits, and customer commitments and submit weekly reports to the branch manager.
- Educate borrowers about EMI schedule, late payment charges, group discipline, and the impact of non-payment on credit history and future loans.
- Ensure that all recovery activities follow MFI code of conduct, RBI/NBFC guidelines, and company policies; avoid any coercive or illegal practices.
- Build and maintain good relationships with customers, centers, and community leaders to support smooth collections and repeat business.
- Coordinate with credit, sales, and legal teams for disbursement issues, restructuring/settlement cases, or legal notices when required.
