Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Management: Assist in planning project stages, developing work schedules, and preparing site layouts based on architectural and engineering drawings, survey reports, topographical, and geological data.

Site Supervision & Execution: Supervise day-to-day construction activities to ensure they are executed correctly and align with approved plans and specifications. This includes tasks specific to farm plots such as managing nursery preparation, planting, and irrigation/drainage system installation.

Quality Control & Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and material testing to ensure that all materials and workmanship meet industry standards and quality requirements.

Resource Management: Coordinate and manage the efficient allocation and use of materials, equipment, and manpower on site, which includes negotiating with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE): Enforce strict safety protocols and H&S legislation to maintain a hazard-free work environment, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.

Problem-Solving & Technical Advice: Act as the primary technical advisor on-site, diagnosing and resolving any unexpected technical difficulties or design issues that arise during construction to prevent delays.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation, including daily progress reports (DPRs), site diaries, inspection records, and change orders for stakeholders and management.

Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, architects, subcontractors, local authorities, and the general workforce to ensure clear communication and compliance with regulations.
