Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Import Documentation & Booking: Process import purchase invoices, verify Bill of Lading, Packing Lists, and Commercial Invoices.
• Costing & Inventory: Calculate the total landed cost of imported goods, including customs duty, clearing charges, freight, and insurance.
• Vendor Management: Reconcile international vendor accounts and handle foreign currency payments, including LC (Letter of Credit) documentation.
• Tax Compliance: Manage import-related taxes (GST, VAT, Custom Duty), TDS, and prepare data for filing returns.
• Foreign Exchange: Monitor and record gains or losses arising from exchange rate fluctuations.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts with import remittance, foreign bank charges, and LC charges.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in Import/Export or Logistics.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP, BUSY, or other ERP software, and MS Excel.
