CNC Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities1. Design & Programming

• CAD/CAM Proficiency: Create and modify 2D and 3D designs using software such as ArtCAM, AutoCAD, Coral Draw.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Toolpath Generation: Convert CAD/PDF designs into machine-readable G-code, optimizing tool paths for efficiency and material conservation.
• Prototyping: Collaborate with the carpentry team to design and fabricate prototypes for new product lines.

2. Machine Setup & Operation

• Setup: Prepare CNC machines by installing and adjusting tools, collets, bushings, and stops.
• Material Handling: Load and position raw materials wood, MDF, HDHMR, Acrylic, Aluminum etc securely into the machine.
• Operation: Monitor the machine during operation to ensure smooth running, making offsets and adjustments as necessary to maintain tolerances.
• Troubleshooting: Detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or media as required.

3. Quality Control & Maintenance

• Inspection: Measure finished parts using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges) to ensure they meet specifications.
• Maintenance: Perform daily and weekly maintenance on machines (cleaning, lubricating, checking coolant levels) to ensure longevity and accuracy.
• Documentation: Maintain logs of production runs, material usage, and machine maintenance.
