Hostel Warden

A hostel warden oversees the daily operations, safety, and administration of a residential facility, ensuring a secure and disciplined living environment for students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administration & Discipline:

  Enforce hostel rules, maintain decorum, and impose penalties for violations.

  Allot rooms to residents and manage the in/out registers.

  Supervise hostel staff (ward boys, security, sweepers) and inspect facilities for maintenance.

  Report serious breaches of discipline, health issues, or safety risks to higher authorities.

Student Welfare & Safety:

  Ensure the safety and security of residents, particularly during non-academic hours and nights.

  Monitor the health, hygiene, and well-being of the residents.

  Provide counseling and support to students for personal or academic issues.

  Coordinate with medical staff and handle emergencies.

Communication & Reporting:

  Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress.

  Organize or oversee cultural and sports activities.
