Job Description
An OEM Sales Executive drives revenue by selling components, parts, or products directly to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for use in their own finished products. They identify new business, build key account relationships, and conduct technical negotiations. These roles often require engineering or technical knowledge and B2B experience in industries like automotive, electronics, or IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identifying, nurturing, and closing new business opportunities within target OEM accounts.
- Account Management: Maintaining relationships with existing clients to secure repeat orders and long-term contracts.
- Technical Sales: Presenting product specifications and demonstrating how products fit into the customer's manufacturing process.
- Target Achievement: Meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales, volume, and profitability goals.
- Market Analysis: Monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and sales performance.
Typical Requirements & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related fields is often preferred.
- Experience: Proven track record in B2B, technical, or industrial sales, usually 3+ years.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, technical aptitude, and relationship-building abilities.
- Industries: Common in automotive, HVAC, electrical, Manufacturing of home appliances,and IT infrastructure sectors.
