Purchase Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Procurement & Purchase Manager from the manufacturing industry to handle vendor management, material procurement, and cost optimization. The role requires strong negotiation skills and coordination with production, stores, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage procurement of raw materials, components, and consumables
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules
• Ensure timely availability of materials for uninterrupted production
• Monitor inventory levels and control procurement costs
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement records
• Coordinate with production, quality, stores, and accounts teams
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement/purchase
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel
• Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Candidates

• Experience in OEM / Heavy Engineering / Equipment Manufacturing
• Immediate or short notice period
