3D Printer Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 3D Printing Engineer / Technician responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting 3D printers, along with supporting design, slicing, and post-processing activities. The role involves working closely with customers, designers, and internal teams to ensure high-quality printing output and machine performance.

Key Responsibilities:1. 3D Printer Operation & Maintenance

• Installation, calibration, and operation of FDM, SLA, and other 3D printing technologies.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues in 3D printers.
• Performing routine preventive maintenance and servicing of machines.
• Testing and validating printer performance after repair or servicing.

2. CAD Design & Modelling

• Creating and modifying 3D models using CAD software.
• Preparing customer-provided designs for manufacturability.
• Assisting in product design, prototyping, and design optimization.

3. Slicing & Print Preparation

• Preparing 3D models for printing using slicing software.
• Optimizing print parameters such as orientation, support structures, layer height, infill, and material selection.
• Troubleshooting print failures and improving print quality.

4. Post-Processing

• Performing finishing processes such as support removal, sanding, polishing, curing, and assembly.
• Ensuring final printed parts meet required quality and dimensional standards.

5. Technical Support & Training

• Assisting customers with machine setup, troubleshooting, and usage guidance.
• Providing technical training and demonstrations when required.
• Maintaining documentation of repairs, service activities, and print settings.
• Required Skills & Qualifications:Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design, or related field.
• Strong understanding of 3D printing technologies and materials.
• Hands-on experience in printer repair and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in CAD modelling software.
• Knowledge of slicing software and print optimization techniques.
• Basic understanding of electronics, firmware, and mechanical assemblies.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Preferred Experience:Prior experience working with multiple 3D printing technologies.
• Experience in rapid prototyping and production applications.
• Customer handling or technical support experience.
