How will you make an impact? 

We are looking for detail-oriented and motivated graduates to join us as Accession Officers.In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, verifying, registering, and managing patient samples within the laboratory workflow. You will work closely with laboratory teams to ensure that samples are accurately labeled, tracked, and prepared for testing, enabling timely and reliable d agnostic results. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the quality, speed, and accuracy of diagnostic testing.

What will you get to do? 

1. Receive, Verify & Log Patient Samples

• Receive and log samples promptly with accurate identification.
• Ensure proper labeling of all sample containers.
• Record any issues or discrepancies noticed at the time of receipt.

2. Enter & Manage Data in LIS/LMS

• Enter patient and sample details into the laboratory system with precision.
• Maintain accuracy and completeness of all digital records.
• Update system entries promptly during workflow changes.

3. Track Sample Movement & Workflow

• Monitor sample routing from accessioning to testing.
• Ensure samples are accounted for at every stage of the process.
• Communicate delays or discrepancies to the relevant teams.

4. Maintain Quality Control & Documentation

• Follow SOPs and quality control procedures to reduce errors.
• Document all accessioning activities, including deviations.
• Support audit readiness through accurate, organized records.

5. Manage Inventory & Sample Handling

• Monitor and maintain stock of collection materials and supplies.
• Handle and store samples as per guidelines to preserve integrity.
• Ensure proper storage and transportation procedures are followed.

6. Ensure Compliance & Support Team Collaboration

• Adhere to regulatory guidelines and company policies at all times.
• Collaborate with lab staff, clinicians, and support teams for seamless workflow.
• Promote clear communication to maintain efficient laboratory operations.

Skills we are looking for 

Education

• BSc MLT / DMLT / Biochemistry / Clinical Pathology / Hematology or related life sciences field.

Preferred Skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Understanding of laboratory processes and sample handling standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to confidentiality and data privacy.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts if required.
