Accounts Manager

The Manager – Finance & Accounts will be responsible for overseeing the overall

accounting function, ensuring financial accuracy, statutory compliance, financial

reporting, and internal control processes. The role involves managing accounting

operations, supervising the accounts team, strengthening financial systems, and

supporting business decision-making through analytical insights and MIS reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Management

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate recording of

financial transactions in Tally / ERP.

• Review and maintain books of accounts, general ledger, and supporting

financial documentation.

• Ensure timely and accurate bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations.

• Monitor accounting controls and ensure compliance with company policies

and accounting standards.

• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

2. Vendor & Payment Management

• Oversee vendor invoice verification and ensure compliance with PO / GRN and

approval matrix.

• Monitor accounts payable and receivable cycles and maintain optimum

working capital.

• Approve vendor payments and ensure timely disbursement.

• Develop and maintain strong coordination with vendors and internal

stakeholders.

3. Statutory Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns, reconciliations, and

documentation.

• Oversee TDS calculation, deduction, payment, and filing processes.

• Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, and other statutory requirements.

• Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

• Keep the organization updated with changes in tax and statutory regulations.

4. Payroll & Expense Management

• Review and approve payroll processing and validations.

• Ensure compliance with payroll statutory deductions and

documentation.

• Monitor employee reimbursements and expense claims as per company

policies.

5. MIS & Financial Reporting

• Prepare and review monthly MIS, financial statements, and variance analysis.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for decisionmaking.

• Monitor budgets, cost controls, and financial performance indicators.

• Support business planning and forecasting exercises.

6. Audit & Internal Controls

• Lead internal and statutory audits and ensure timely closure of audit

observations.

• Strengthen internal control systems and financial processes.

• Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance for audit readiness.

7. Team Management & Process Improvement

• Lead, mentor, and manage the accounts team.

• Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to timelines.

• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.

• Build SOPs for finance and accounting processes.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Advanced knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and statutory compliance.

• Hands-on experience with Tally / Accounting ERP.

• Strong analytical and financial planning skills.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
