Job Title: Assistant Manager – Sales (Loan Sales)

Department: Sales

Reporting To: Sales Manager / Branch Manager

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager – Sales (Loan Sales) is responsible for driving loan sales through direct and channel-based sourcing, managing customer relationships, achieving assigned targets, and ensuring high-quality loan origination in compliance with company policies. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, handling customer queries, and supporting the sales team to maximize business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Source and sell loan products such as Personal Loans, Business Loans or LAP (as applicable).

Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets through effective lead generation and conversion.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, channel partners, DSAs, brokers, and referral sources.

Guide customers through the loan application process, documentation, and approval stages.

Coordinate with credit, operations, and legal teams to ensure timely loan disbursement.

Conduct field visits, customer meetings, and promotional activities to generate new business.

Monitor portfolio quality and ensure adherence to credit and compliance norms.

Maintain accurate sales reports, MIS, and pipeline tracking.

Support and motivate junior sales executives to improve overall team performance.

Handle customer grievances and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills

Customer-centric approach with problem-solving ability

Knowledge of loan products, credit appraisal basics, and documentation

Ability to work under pressure and meet targets

Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM systems, and reporting tools

Field sales and relationship management skills

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field

MBA (Marketing/Finance) preferred but not mandatory

Experience

2–5 years of experience in loan sales with a bank, NBFC, or financial services company

Proven track record of achieving sales targets
