Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President - Cloud Operations Leader

As a Cloud Operations Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operational aspects of our cloud infrastructure and services. Your role will involve leading a team of cloud operations engineers, architects, and administrators to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems. You will work closely with other technology leaders to design and implement efficient cloud solutions that align with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

· Cloud Strategy and Planning:

o Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud operations strategy aligned with business goals.

o Drive continuous improvement and optimization of cloud infrastructure and services.

· Infrastructure Management:

o Manage the day-to-day operations of our cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

o Ensure high availability, performance, and security of cloud infrastructure and services.

· Monitoring and Optimization:

o Implement monitoring tools and practices to proactively identify and resolve issues.

o Optimize cloud resources to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

· Incident Management:

o Develop and maintain incident response and escalation procedures for cloud services.

o Lead the resolution of critical incidents and post-incident reviews.

· Compliance and Security:

o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)

o Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect cloud environments.

· Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

o Champion the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for automated provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.

o Implement and optimize IaC frameworks (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to streamline infrastructure management.

· Vendor Management:

o Manage relationships with cloud service providers and third-party vendors.

o Evaluate and recommend new technologies and services to enhance cloud operations.

· Capacity Planning and Scalability:

o Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to support business growth and demand.

o Design scalable architectures that can accommodate future expansion and changes.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

· Proven experience in cloud operations, with expertise in managing large-scale cloud environments.

· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

· In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud service providers.

· Hands-on experience with cloud automation, orchestration, and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes).

· Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for automated infrastructure deployment and management.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing operational challenges.

· Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

· Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud

Preferred qualifications

· Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
