Associate Store Manager

• Operations & Shift ExecutionOversee daily shift operations of the quick commerce fulfillment center/dark store.
• Ensure adherence to operational SOPs, safety, hygiene, and quality standards for fruits, vegetables and perishable products.
• Coordinate picking, packing, quality checks and timely order dispatch to meet delivery SLAs.
• Maintain accurate and real-time stock levels (as per 3-day or defined inventory norms) and minimize stockouts.
• Monitor order volumes and allocate resources to manage peak times effectively.
• 👥 Team Leadership & CoordinationLead, mentor and supervise shift team members (pickers, packers, floor staff).
• Conduct shift briefings, assign tasks, and ensure teamwork and discipline.
• Support hiring & training of new staff on operational processes and safety guidelines.
• Provide clear communication and escalate issues to senior operations where needed.
• 📦 Inventory, Quality & Freshness ManagementEnsure proper handling and storage of FNV items to maintain freshness and reduce spoilage/wastage.
• Conduct regular stock audits, FIFO checks, and reporting of damaged/expired goods.
• Coordinate with procurement/supply chain for timely replenishment of FNV category products and back-stock management.
• 📊 Performance & ReportingTrack and report shift performance including orders fulfilled, SLA attainment, picking accuracy, shrinkage/wastage, and manpower productivity.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend improvement actions to optimize processes and reduce costs.
• 📍 Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with supply chain, logistics partners and quick commerce platform coordinators to maintain stock consistency and resolve bottlenecks.
• Liaise with quality, customer care and merchandising teams for smooth issue resolution.
• Coordinate with finance and administrative teams for shift rosters, payroll data and compliance.
• 📈 Continuous ImprovementDrive initiatives that improve operational efficiency, resource utilization, cost savings and service quality.
• Monitor competitor metrics and performance standards, bringing insights to improve processes.
• 📞 Customer ExperienceHandle escalations related to order inaccuracies, delivery delays, product quality complaints and ensure swift resolution.
• Track customer feedback for process refinement and improved satisfaction levels.

🎓 Required Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience in operations, retail, supply chain, quick commerce or e-commerce fulfillment.
• Prior experience managing teams and shift operations is preferred.
• Strong understanding of perishable category handling (FNV) and inventory control.
• Excellent leadership and people management.
• Data-driven decision making and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills and problem-solving attitude.
• Proficiency with operational systems, WMS or Excel/Google Sheets.
