Bar Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring high-quality service, maintaining inventory, enhancing guest experience, and driving overall bar performance. Strong leadership, operational knowledge, and customer-handling skills are essential.

• Key Responsibilities:

Operational ManagementOversee daily bar operations to ensure smooth functioning.

• Develop and maintain drink menus, including cocktails, mocktails, and seasonal specialties.
• Ensure consistent drink quality, presentation, and service standards.
• Monitor bar hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for seamless workflow.
• Staff ManagementRecruit, train, and supervise bartenders and bar support staff.
• Prepare staff schedules and manage shift timings efficiently.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and team-building activities.
• Ensure staff maintain grooming standards and professional behavior.
• Inventory & Cost ControlMonitor stock levels, place orders, and manage suppliers.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and minimize wastage.
• Maintain accurate records of beverages, equipment, and purchase orders.
• Manage bar budgets and control operational costs effectively.
• Customer ExperienceInteract with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve complaints professionally.
• Promote signature cocktails, specials, and ongoing offers.
• Maintain a welcoming and lively atmosphere aligned with the brand theme.
• Sales & ReportingTrack daily sales, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and analyze performance.
• Implement strategies to increase revenue through promotions and upselling.
• Coordinate with management for events, parties, and bar promotions.
• Requirements3–7 years of experience in bar operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of beverages, mixology, spirits, and bar equipment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and handle customer concerns.
• Familiarity with stock management, cost control, and POS systems.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Preferred QualificationsCertification in Bartending or Hospitality Management (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience in themed bars, lounges, or premium hospitality establishments.
• Creative approach toward drink menu curation and bar promotions.
