Job Description

Position: Tender BOQ / Coasting Manager

Location: Orbit Projects Head Office, Gurgaon, Haryana

Experience Required: 1–3 years in costing, BOQ preparation, estimation, or quantity surveying for commercial interiors/furniture projects

Reporting To: Estimation Lead / Commercial Head

Role Overview : The Junior Tender BOQ Executive will assist in preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for Orbit’s commercial interior and furniture projects.

This role supports the tendering team in ensuring accurate, competitive, and timely submission of tender documents. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of interior fit-out materials, estimation, and vendor coordination, along with strong analytical and numerical skills.

This position is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in tendering, estimation, and commercial operations within the interior and furniture industry.

Key Responsibilities1. BOQ Preparation & Estimation Support

  • Assist in developing and updating BOQs from CAD drawings, scope, and specification documents.
  • Support rate analysis and cost estimation for materials, finishes, and furniture works.
  • Help identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering under senior guidance.

2. Coordination & Vendor Interaction

  • Coordinate with design and procurement teams for input validation and cost details.
  • Collect and compile vendor quotations for pricing comparisons.
  • Maintain vendor communication records and price sheets for ongoing tenders.

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain tender files, costing sheets, and rate databases.
  • Assist in compiling tender summaries, project cost sheets, and reports.
  • Support the team in meeting tender submission deadlines and documentation requirements.
  • Skills & CompetenciesBasic understanding of costing, estimation, and BOQ preparation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and related estimation tools.
  • Knowledge of interior materials, finishes, and furniture components.
  • Strong analytical and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and multitask effectively.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams and vendors.
  • Learning mindset with attention to detail and process discipline.
  • Performance Indicators (KPIs)Accuracy and completeness of BOQ data prepared.
  • Timely assistance in tender submissions.
  • Quality of documentation and data management.
