Job Description
Role & Responsibilities: -
Specialisation: Selling jewellery and gems online requires a deep understanding of the products, including different types of gemstones, metals, styles, and their associated value. You'll need to become an expert in the features and benefits of the jewellery pieces you're selling.
Product Knowledge: Having extensive knowledge about the various types of gemstones, their quality factors (such as colour, clarity, cut, and carat weight), and the different types of jewellery settings is crucial. This expertise helps you educate customers and guide them in making informed purchasing decisions.
Visual Presentation: Online jewellery sales heavily rely on visually appealing images and videos. High-quality images that showcase the intricate details of the jewellery pieces are essential to entice potential buyers.
Trust and Credibility: Selling high-value items like jewellery and gemstones online requires establishing trust with customers. Providing accurate product descriptions, detailed information about gemstone certifications (if applicable), and transparent pricing is essential to build credibility.
Should have good conversation skills, ability to discuss and manage foreign clients . And should be Comfortable to go meet at customer's place to close the deal.
Preferred candidate profile
We are looking for candidate from gems and jewellery industry with at least 2 or more years of experience. MBA candidates from Sales Background are also desired candidate.
Certification and Authentication: When dealing with valuable gems and jewellery, customers often seek assurance about authenticity. Highlight any certifications from reputable gemological laboratories for the gemstones, and provide information about the metals used in the jewellery.
Customer Interaction: Effective communication skills are even more important in the jewellery industry. You'll likely need to respond promptly to customer inquiries about specific pieces, customisation options, and payment methods.
Customisation Options: Offering customisation services, where customers can personalise jewellery pieces based on their preferences, can set you apart in the online market.
Secure Transactions: Ensure that your online platform has secure payment gateways and customer data protection measures. This is crucial for building customer trust and protecting sensitive information.
Returns and Refunds: Clearly communicate your policies regarding returns, exchanges, and refunds. The high emotional value of jewellery purchases often means customers might have specific concerns about these aspects.
Collaboration with Designers: Collaborating with jewellery designers to create unique pieces or curating collections can give your online sales platform a distinct edge.
