Civil Engineer

Job Title: Civil Engineer Department: Engineering / Projects Reports To: Project Manager / Construction ManagerJob Summary:The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, executing, and supervising construction and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that all civil works are completed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.

• Key Responsibilities:Plan, design, and supervise civil construction activities.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Monitor site execution to ensure work is carried out as per approved plans.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and site teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and statutory regulations.
• Prepare project schedules, progress reports, and documentation.
• Manage site measurements, billing, and contractor payments.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Monitor project costs and assist in cost control measures.
• Maintain records of drawings, approvals, and site changes.
• Support testing and commissioning of civil works.
• Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and materials
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Project planning and site coordination skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant engineering software
• Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial projects preferred
• Working Conditions:Primarily site-based role
