Job Description
- Patient Care:
- Preparing patients for dental procedures.
- Taking and recording patient medical and dental histories.
- Providing chair-side assistance to the dentist during various procedures (e.g., fillings, extractions, root canals).
- Anticipating the dentist's needs and passing instruments and materials efficiently.
- Providing patient education on oral hygiene, and treatment plans.
- Ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
- Sterilization and Infection Control:
- Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Maintaining a clean and organized treatment room.
- Adhering to all infection control guidelines.
- Laboratory Duties:
- Preparing materials for dental procedures (e.g., cements, composites).
- Administrative Tasks (May vary depending on clinic size):
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments.
- Managing patient records and charts.
- Maintaining dental supplies and inventory.
- Communicating with patients regarding appointments.
- Other Duties:
- Assisting with other tasks as needed, such as cleaning and maintaining the clinic.
