Factory Manager

JOB PROFILE (Copy-Paste)Position Name: Factory Operations Controller (Order → Dispatch)

Role Type: Manager / Integrator (NOT a doer)

Reporting To: Owner / Operations Head

Purpose of Role: Replace owner’s daily follow-ups after an order is confirmed. Ensure every order moves from “released” to “dispatched” on time, with minimum rejections and clean handoffs.

1. Key Outcomes (What success looks like)On-time Dispatch: Orders dispatch on or before committed date.
2. Order Control: Every order is tracked stage-wise daily; no “verbal status”.
3. Quality Stability (Basic): Rejections and repeat defects reduce month-on-month.
4. Owner Independence: Owner is not needed for daily chasing; escalations come with options + recommendation.

Core KPIsKPI-1: On-Time Dispatch (OTD)

• On-time dispatch %
• Orders delayed count + total delay days
• Daily plan vs actual dispatch

KPI-2: Quality (Basic)

• In-process rejection %
• Customer returns/complaints count + closure time
• Repeat defect rate (same defect repeating)

KPI-3: Control Quality

• Tracker accuracy % (100% orders updated daily)
• Escalation quality (issues raised early with 2–3 options)

1. Responsibilities (Managerial — no physical doing)Own the Order-to-Dispatch Control Tower: daily dispatch plan + daily production priorities.
2. Maintain Order Tracker with stage gates: Order Released → Material Ready → Production Started → QC Cleared → Packed → Dispatch Ready → Dispatched.
3. Run daily OTD War Room (15–20 min): plan, blockers, owners, ETAs.
4. Coordinate across Store/Production/QC/Packing/Dispatch/Transport/Sales for smooth handoff.
5. Identify shortages/bottlenecks early and escalate with solutions (not complaints).
6. Enforce basic QC discipline: rejection log, Pareto of defects, corrective action follow-up to prevent repeats.
7. Ensure dispatch readiness: packing checklist, documentation trigger, transporter booking follow-up, dispatch proof shared same day.
