Job Description

The Sales Executive role in a Work Integrated Learning Programme (WILP)—offered by institutions like BITS Pilani or Wipro—is a corporate-facing position focused on building partnerships to help working professionals and diploma holders upgrade their careers while remaining employed. 


Key Responsibilities & Job Role

Your primary goal is to bridge the gap between academia and industry by acting as a liaison between the educational institute and corporate entities. 

  • Corporate Outreach & Visits: Identify and visit target companies across sectors like IT, Manufacturing, and Automotive to establish new business links.
  • HR & AR Engagement: Meet with Human Resources (HR) and Academic Relations (AR) heads to understand their talent transformation needs and position WILP as a solution for employee upskilling.
  • Organising Orientations: Arrange and conduct briefing sessions or "Project Readiness Programs" to encourage diploma holders and professionals to enroll in degree programs (B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA).
  • Lead Generation & Conversion: Sourcing new opportunities through strategic networking, cold calling, and following up on inquiries to meet enrollment targets.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain long-term relationships with existing corporate partners to ensure repetitive and recurring business cycles. 


Orientation & Briefing Objectives

When briefing working professionals, the focus is on the unique "Work-Integrated" nature of the courses:

  • Career Upgrading: Highlighting how they can earn a degree without leaving their jobs.
  • Experiential Learning: Explaining that workplace projects can often be used for academic credit, solving real-world challenges at their current job.
  • Flexibility: Briefing them on online classes, recorded sessions, and remote labs designed to maintain work-life balance. 


Core Skills Required

  • Communication: Fluent in English and local languages to conduct professional presentations.
  • Negotiation: Ability to close deals and arrive at mutually beneficial terms for the client and the organization.
  • Operational Savvy: Familiarity with student lifecycle systems and CRM tools like Salesforce or Zoho.
