Welcome guests and create a positive first impression

Verify reservations, IDs, and payment details

Allocate rooms and issue room keys

Explain hotel facilities, policies, and services

2. Guest Check-Out

Prepare and settle guest bills

Handle payments (cash, card, online, company billing)

Collect feedback and thank guests

Coordinate luggage assistance if needed

3. Reservations Management

Handle room bookings (walk-in, phone, email, online)

Update reservation systems and room availability

Manage cancellations, amendments, and no-shows

4. Guest Services & Relations

Answer guest inquiries (directions, services, local info)

Handle complaints professionally and promptly

Coordinate special requests (early check-in, late check-out, amenities)

Maintain VIP and repeat guest records

5. Communication & Coordination

Coordinate with housekeeping on room status

Inform maintenance about technical issues

Liaise with security and other departments

Pass on guest messages and calls

6. Cashiering & Billing

Maintain accurate guest accounts

Post charges correctly (room, minibar, services)

Balance cash and prepare shift reports

Follow financial and audit procedures

7. Records & Administration

Maintain guest registration records

Update front office logs and reports

Ensure data privacy and confidentiality

Prepare daily arrival, departure, and occupancy reports

8. Safety & Security Duties

Follow hotel safety and emergency procedures

Monitor lobby activity

Assist guests during emergencies or evacuations

9. Sales & Upselling

Promote room upgrades and hotel services

Encourage in-house dining, spa, or tours
