Job Title: HR Manager – Employee Engagement & People ExperienceIndustry: Logistics / Supply Chain
Job PurposeThe HR Manager will be responsible for managing employee engagement, welfare, and all employee-related HR matters within the organization. This role focuses on building a positive work culture, improving employee satisfaction and retention, and ensuring effective HR support—without involvement in day-to-day operational decision-making.
- Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Engagement & CultureDesign and implement employee engagement initiatives to improve morale, motivation, and retention
- Conduct employee surveys, feedback sessions, and engagement activities
- Promote company values and a positive workplace culture across all locations
- Plan and execute employee events, recognition programs, and communication initiatives
- Employee RelationsAct as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and welfare issues
- Handle disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and grievance management in line with company policies
- Ensure fair, respectful, and consistent treatment of employees
- HR Policies & Employee SupportDevelop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures
- Ensure policies are applied consistently and transparently
- Provide guidance to employees on HR-related matters including leave, attendance, benefits, and conduct
- Performance & Development SupportCoordinate performance appraisal processes (administrative and facilitation role only)
- Identify training and development needs related to soft skills, leadership, and employee wellbeing
- Support career development and internal mobility initiatives
- Compliance & HR AdministrationEnsure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR documentation
- Support audits and reporting related to HR and compliance
- Management & Advisory RoleAdvise managers on employee engagement, communication, and people-related best practices
- Support leadership in managing teams effectively without direct involvement in operations or productivity decisions
- Scope & Boundaries of the RoleThis role does not participate in operational planning, production targets, routing, scheduling, or logistics execution.
- HR’s role is limited to employee engagement, relations, policy, and compliance matters only.
- Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of HR experience with strong exposure to employee engagement and relations
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or industrial environments preferred
- Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy, confidentiality, and conflict management expertise
- Ability to build trust with employees and management
- Strong understanding of labor laws and HR policies
