Job Description

  • Scope of Work –
  • HVAC Engineer (VRF System)1. Design & EngineeringPerform heat load calculations (room-wise & block-wise).
  • Design and selection of VRF outdoor & indoor units as per project requirement.
  • Preparation of HVAC layout drawings (Indoor unit layout, Outdoor placement, Refrigerant piping routing).
  • Preparation of refrigerant piping schematic diagrams.
  • Design of drain piping system for condensate.
  • Fresh air & ventilation planning (if applicable).
  • ESP calculation and static pressure verification.
  • Electrical load calculation for VRF system.
  • Coordination with electrical team for power supply requirements.
  • Preparation of BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
  • 2. Coordination & ApprovalsCoordination with architect, structural, electrical & plumbing teams.
  • Conduct site inspections and verify installation feasibility.
  • Attend project meetings and provide technical inputs.
  • Submit drawings for consultant/client approval.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and local codes.
  • 3. Procurement SupportTechnical evaluation of VRF equipment vendors.
  • Review of technical submittals.
  • Verification of equipment specifications.
  • Inspection of materials delivered at site.
  • 4. Installation SupervisionSupervise installation of indoor and outdoor units.
  • Ensure proper refrigerant piping installation (brazing, insulation, nitrogen flushing).
  • Ensure correct slope and installation of drain piping.
  • Verify proper installation of supports and brackets.
  • Check electrical interconnections and communication wiring.
  • Ensure vacuuming and pressure testing as per manufacturer standards.
  • 5. Testing & CommissioningConduct pressure testing and leak testing.
  • Ensure proper vacuuming of system.
  • Refrigerant charging verification.
  • System startup & commissioning.
  • Check temperature performance and system balancing.
  • Resolve system faults during trial run.
  • Client demonstration and handover.
  • 6. Documentation & HandoverPreparation of as-built drawings.
  • Submission of O&M manuals.
  • Warranty documentation submission.
  • Preparation of commissioning reports.
  • Final handing over of system to client.
