Junior Site Engineer

Job Title: Junior Site Engineer (Civil) 

Location: [Insert City, e.g., Pune, Bengaluru, NCR] Experience: 1-2 Years Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering (Polytechnic) Reporting to: Project Manager / Senior Site Engineer

Role Objective

We are looking for a disciplined and proactive Junior Site Engineer to oversee day-to-day site operations. You will be the bridge between technical drawings and physical execution, ensuring that work progresses safely, on time, and according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities 

• Site Supervision: Daily monitoring of construction activities (RCC work, brickwork, plastering, tiling, etc.) to ensure alignment with structural drawings.
• Labor Management: Coordinating with sub-contractors and managing on-site labor to meet daily progress targets.
• Quality Control: Checking the quality of incoming materials (cement, steel, sand) and conducting routine tests (e.g., cube testing, silt content). 
• Setting Out: Assisting in site layout, marking, and leveling using basic surveying instruments like Auto Levels. 
• Measurement & Billing: Recording daily progress in the Site Measurement Book (MB) and assisting in the preparation of Running Account (RA) bills.
• Safety Compliance: Ensuring all workers adhere to safety protocols (wearing helmets, vests, and using harnesses where necessary). 
• Documentation: Maintaining Daily Progress Reports (DPR), material checklists, and labor attendance logs. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Indian Polytechnic institute. 
• Experience: 1-2 years of hands-on experience on a residential, commercial, or infrastructure site. 
• Technical Knowledge: * Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural blueprints.

Basic understanding of the National Building Code (NBC) and IS codes. 

Familiarity with BBS (Bar Bending Schedule) is a strong plus.

• Software: Basic proficiency in MS Excel (for reporting) and AutoCAD (for viewing drawings).
• Soft Skills: Strong communication in local languages and Hindi to manage labor effectively.
