Job Description
- . Key ResponsibilitiesA. Loading & UnloadingUnload goods from supplier vehicles.
- Load goods into delivery vehicles as per invoice.
- Check quantity while unloading as per delivery challan.
- Inform supervisor immediately in case of shortage or damage.
- B. Material HandlingLift and shift bulk grocery items, cartons, sacks, and boxes.
- Proper stacking of goods in godown as per category.
- Follow FIFO (First In First Out) method for stock rotation.
- Avoid damage during handling.
- C. Storage & ArrangementMaintain systematic arrangement of stock.
- Keep heavy items at designated storage area.
- Ensure gangways are clear for movement.
- D. CoordinationCoordinate with billing and store staff for dispatch.
- Assist in inward and outward stock counting.
- Support during physical stock verification.
- E. Safety & DisciplineFollow safety guidelines while lifting heavy materials.
- Use trolley, pallet jack, or other tools properly (if available).
- Maintain cleanliness in loading area.
- Wear safety shoes and proper uniform.
- 3. Required Skills & QualificationsPhysically strong and fit.
- Basic counting ability.
- Experience in grocery/warehouse handling preferred.
- Honest, hardworking, and punctual.
- Ability to work under pressure during heavy deliveries.
- 4. Working ConditionsWork may involve heavy lifting.
- Flexible shift timing as per delivery schedule.
- Weekly off as per company policy.
- 5. Performance StandardsZero damage due to mishandling.
- Timely unloading/loading of goods.
- Proper stacking without stock loss.
- No stock discrepancy due to negligence.
