Mechanical Design Engineer

Experience: 1–3 Years (Freshers with strong skills may also apply)

We are looking for a motivated CAD/CAM Engineer to assist CNC and VMC programmers in preparing manufacturing jobs using CAM software. The candidate should have basic knowledge of machine tools, machining processes, and strong understanding of engineering drawings. The role involves converting designs into accurate toolpaths and supporting shop-floor operations.

• Key Responsibilities:Assist CNC & VMC programmers in creating and modifying CAM programs for manufacturing components.
• Prepare 2D & 3D models using CAD software based on engineering drawings.
• Generate toolpaths, setup sheets, and machining strategies using CAM software.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
• Understand and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings (GD&T preferred).
• Support machine operators during trial runs and production.
• Optimize machining processes for cycle time and quality improvement.
• Maintain CAM program documentation and revision control.
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of CNC & VMC machine working.
• Understanding of cutting tools, tooling, and machining processes (milling, drilling, tapping, etc.).
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and dimensions.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software such as:

Fusion 360 / Mastercam / NX CAM / SolidCAM / Creo (any one preferred)

• Basic knowledge of G-code and M-code is an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing environment.
