Pharmacist

This position is responsible for providing accurate and efficient pharmaceutical care to patients. The Pharmacist will ensure the safe and effective dispensing of medications, provide patient counseling, and assist in maintaining a safe and efficient pharmacy operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Accurately and efficiently dispense medications to patients, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and medical supplies.

* Verify prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.

* Counsel patients on medication use, including dosage, side effects, drug interactions, and proper storage and administration.

* Answer patient questions and provide information on medications and health-related topics.

* Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy inventory.

* Prepare and label medications according to established procedures.

* Assist in the ordering and stocking of medications and supplies.

* Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.

* Participate in staff training and education programs.

* Adhere to all pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.

* Assist in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.

* Provide excellent customer service to all patients and healthcare providers.

* May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

 Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.

 Current and valid state pharmacy license.

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Proficient in computer skills, including pharmacy software.

 Ability to handle stress and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Experience in a retail pharmacy setting.

 Experience with computerized pharmacy systems.

 Bilingual or multilingual skills.

 Certification in specialized areas such as immunizations or medication therapy management.

Physical Requirements:

 Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

 Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.

 Ability to reach, bend, and stoop.

 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
