Project Engineer - HVAC

Job Description:

Job Role: Project Engineer

Role objective: Execute and deliver the project on time with planned profit and full customer satisfaction by developing and managing the execution team effectively.

Reports to: Director

Job Responsibilities:

1.

Project execution and delivery planning: Plan the various milestones and their time lines with respect to customer’s expectations and company feasibility. Create project map (Gantt chart ) for all key miles stones.

2.

Fine Tuning and approving project execution Design after taking site requirement given by sales and matching with the design developed by the design engineer. Even visit to site if required to finalize the design.

3.

Checking the feasibility of project delivery timelines as committed by salesperson to customer. And assess how the timelines can be achieved. Also if timelines are not feasible at all visit the customer and renegotiate the timelines along with sales person.

4.

Material planning: Find out what and how much material to ordered. Indent has to be raised and given to purchase department specifying make, quantity and timelines of delivery.

5.

Manpower planning: Select the subcontractor and supervisor from our team. Create work orders for the sub-contractors to finalize the rates.

6.

Decide and plan for Billing milestones and payment milestones as per PO.

7.

Check and record the quality of material delivered on site and report to purchase timely for return or replacement.

8.

Check and monitor execution quality.

9.

Provide the technical support to ground execution team and facilitate their speedy and quality working.

10.

Collect payment from the customers as per the timelines agreed.

11.

Update and inform the customers on the progress of the site work as per defined format.

12.

Conduct Site measurement (Work execution) for billing and give relevant details to account for raising the bill.

13.

Hand over site Customer after complete project execution as per the designed format and take acceptance note from him.

14.

After customer handing over the project to customer Hand over site to service department after complete project execution as per the designed format

15.

To minimize the wastage of material at site.

16.

Proper housekeeping of site.

17.

Responsible for all the material delivered at site.

18.

Responsible for all the tools delivered at site including cylinders.

19.

Developing and maintaining relationship with sub contractors for speedy and quality delivery of project.

20.

Implementing cost-saving measures at site.

21.

All work to be done in ERP.

Building Team of project engineers

Above are only the main activities related to the job however there will be many other allied activities which are not captured here. The job holder is expected to perform all related activities to fulfil the objectives of the role as mentioned above.

Basic Qualification for the Role: B. Tech or Dip in Mechanical Engg with specialization in Airconditioning

Industry Experience: App 5-7 years of Experience
