Job Description

The Sales Executive is responsible for achieving sales targets through a combination of field sales and sales on call (telephonic add-on sales) and field sales. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, increasing secondary sales, and driving revenue growth by promoting additional and complementary FMCG products within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned primary and secondary sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Conduct sales on call (tele-sales) with retailers, distributors, and existing customers
  • Promote add-on and cross-sell products during order booking and follow-up calls
  • Increase average order value by recommending suitable FMCG products and SKUs
  • Maintain regular follow-ups to generate repeat business and add-on sales
  • Build and manage strong relationships with distributors and retailers
  • Ensure product availability, visibility, and correct pricing in the market
  • Communicate ongoing promotional schemes, offers, and new product launches
  • Maintain daily sales reports, call logs, and customer feedback records
  • Coordinate with logistics and accounts teams for timely order fulfillment and collections

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong telephonic communication and persuasion skills
  • Ability to upsell and cross-sell FMCG products effectively
  • Good negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Basic computer knowledge, including CRM systems and MS Excel
  • Target-driven, self-motivated, and customer-focused mindset
