Position: Sales Promoter

Location: Reliance Retail Stores (Delhi)

Engagement Type:  Contract (On-Ground Role)

Role Overview : We are hiring enthusiastic and disciplined Sales Promoters to represent our brand at Reliance Retail stores.

The role focuses on customer interaction, product explanation, sampling, and sales conversion while strictly adhering to store protocols and brand standards.

This position offers hands-on exposure to FMCG retail sales, modern trade operations, and structured performance-based growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage customers proactively and communicate product benefits clearly
  • Deliver a confident and consistent product pitch
  • Conduct product sampling and trials following hygiene standards
  • Drive sales conversions and meet assigned targets
  • Maintain continuous presence at the designated brand counter
  • Follow Reliance Retail store etiquette and operational guidelines
  • Ensure accurate daily reporting through internal systems

Training & Onboarding

All Sales Promoters will undergo a mandatory induction and training program prior to deployment.

The training covers:

  • Brand and product understanding
  • Store protocols and discipline
  • Customer interaction and pitching techniques
  • Sampling etiquette and hygiene practices

Only trained promoters will be deployed on the shop floor.

Performance Tracking & Reporting Performance is monitored through a structured digital tracking system. Compliance and accuracy are mandatory.

Tracking includes:

  • Attendance and shift timing
  • System-based check-in and check-out verification
  • Daily reporting of customer interactions, pitches, and sampling activity

Incentives & Recognition

We follow a multi-parameter incentive and recognition system to reward:

  • Operational discipline and system compliance
  • Regularity and consistency
  • Completion of engagement milestones
  • Sales performance above assigned targets
  • Overall excellence and top performance

High-performing promoters are regularly recognized and rewarded through internal programs.

Performance Review Process

Weekly and monthly reviews are conducted to assess:

  • Customer engagement quality
  • Sales performance vs targets
  • Punctuality and discipline
  • System compliance and reporting accuracy

Promoters showing exceptional performance are considered for higher responsibilities, while repeated non-compliance may lead to disengagement.

Code of Conduct

  • Strict adherence to Reliance Retail store rules is mandatory
  • Clean and proper uniform must be worn at all times
  • Mobile phone usage is prohibited on the sales floor except for official reporting
  • Promoters must not leave the designated brand counter during duty hours
  • Leaves are subject to approval and store policy

Any violation of store or brand guidelines may attract disciplinary action.
